On the water at 6:30 am.  Up, east up the finger of Lake Folsom to the confluence of the American River’s South Fork.

Wind in my face [as usual]

  • Boiling water
  • Rapids crush
  • Wrens dart
  • Fish nuzzle
  • Geese paddle

How could I ignore His Presence?

At the confluence of lake and river

At the confluence of soul and flesh

the river grabs my kayak to crush its shell, snap it’s paddle to become debris.

I brace – a poor spirit brace [matthew 5:3]

aware again I am the steward of my life a child of the King loved beyond measure.
