How blessed are those who keep justice, who practice righteousness at all times. Psalm 106:3 NASB
In Psalm 106, God is calling us home.
“Half measures availed us nothing” is from the Big Book of AA and we know this is true.
On the other hand, small whole-hearted Godward steps will forge holy habits, draw you closer to God, and influence friends and family to follow Jesus.
On the other hand, if you ignore this wake-up, your spiritual life will continue to grow cold.
Your heart will become hungry for rich foods, digital stimulation, or getting high on weed driving home before you put on your happy face to your spouse and family.
The slide you are on will continue until you stop, drop, and pray asking God to help you start again with a full-on new beginning.
The Good News is you can always come home and begin again the small habits of going to church, reading your Bible, praying with your family, and spending time alone with God to start your day.
Why wait?
