That’s Travis my nephew on the left, next to him is our friend Steve, then Joyce my sister-in-law, and on the right is my bride Lea Ann.
Boxes are everywhere BUT we are making progress. We’re frequently asking “Have you seen my _______?” We had our good friends from the area, Cheryl and Dennis over for dinner last night and it was really good to see them.
We sold our home in El Dorado Hills in early June and moved completely to rural Corralitos, California in south Santa Cruz County. Lea Ann and I are referring to El Dorado Hills as “Kansas” and Corralitos as “Oz.” Our hearts are still in Kansas with many of you!
Each day we unpack a box and make here our new home. We’ve been attending Twin Lakes Church the last few weeks, and after a service we say “This isn’t like Kansas!”, but it is where we are going to land for the next season.
The weather is 20-30 degrees cooler.
The beach is 20 minutes away. I can hear the ocean early in the morning!
God is leading both Lea Ann and me to restore rhythm to our work/life balance. Perhaps like you, it’s easy to lose life giving rhythms when life gets disruptive. So, restoring rhythm is important for us – and we’re doing it one box at a time, one day at a time – doing the work of transforming a house into a home
We are grateful for your prayers and miss you!
