Faced with a fork in the road I reached out to my pastor, friend, and mentor Cliff. Over the phone Cliff did what he does best – he listened and asked questions.
You see, I have been working through a hard What’s next? question for a few months. Hovering between Trust vs Clarity question I landed on Trust. The next question was When? It was when that kept me awake at nights.
The Spirit will lead you Bud, Cliff said over the phone.
Instantly my angst disappeared as I remembered Jesus words; I will not leave you as an orphan. John 14:18
Unhurried yet purposeful I went on my way with work, family, and running [man love trail runs!] What happened was amazing:
- A guy called from Texas with deep wisdom for my situation
- A friend reminded me of an essential piece of when
- My heart confirmed this walking with the Spirit was/is the right thing
A relaxed me has been able to assemble resources, action steps, and people to move this when forward. With each step I am reminded that I know Who I have placed my trust in. I am convinced that He will see me through. 1 Timothy 1:12
